On Racism

Liquid versus fixed layouts

Racism is not a real thing; meaning that it is not physical. It is not a state of mind…I would argue that racism is a state of being. You are not born racist. When we are born, we are not born anything. We were not created or born to sin but rather we are born in sin…we are born in a sinful and defiant world. And because of this worldly environment, we are shaped by it; we are socialized to conform, whether we know it or not. We live in a racist society and thus we act accordingly, based on the position you have been designated by the power structure.

Racism was created. According to W.E.B. DuBois, with whom I do agree, it was created by the White Anglo Saxon Protestant ruling class power structure during the colonization of what we know as the United States. It was created simply to maintain their rule over the poor and uneducated. The fact of the matter is that they owned everybody, both African slaves and free Whites. There was no difference between the slave and the free White farmer. The power structure knew this, and so to keep from the rebellion against their power, they put the White farmer against the slave immediately upon the dawn of a question of their rule. They coalesced with the poor White famer against the Black slave; they made the slave their enemy…the power structure told the poor White, “Hey, you are one of us. We’re not trying to make things hard for you. We’re trying to make it easy for everyone by having them work for us. Tell you what, you work for me and you can rule over those niggers. Watch them for us. Make sure that they don’t get outta hand. We can work out the financial details regarding your crops. We can make this system work.” The poor White farmer bought into this system. It lasted from the dawn of colonization until the 20th century.

Stupid were these farmers; how can you even entertain what these folks are saying to you when they are the ones who created this system? The power structure made this system and the federal government enforced it. The combination of poor Whites and slaves would have been deadly to the power structure, yet they were cunning enough to make sure that nothing stood in the way of their goal. What was the goal – Building America for free? America was built on the backs of African Slaves…period. And so to challenge the goal was unacceptable and thus good men were tricked, generations were lied to and upon the mainstreaming of industrialization; the power structure shifted their aims. Although racism was a tool to maintain division among the working class, it was no longer a tool to maintain free labor. Racism became a tool to organize the class structure within the country while maintaining working class divisions. Immigrants were categorized but always above Blacks. Immigrants were allowed to organize and gain pieces of societal power as they were allowed the chance to obtain capital. Blacks were shut out. This was the aim of Jim Crow…it wasn’t simply to segregate Blacks from Whites…Jim Crow was designed to give time for the power structure to institutionalize its program of racism within society. The fear was always that people have the capacity to change. America changed with the 13th through 15th amendments. People can change, but structures cannot. Either a structure exists or it is destroyed, and as long as the institutions of society exist, they cannot change.

Jim Crow allowed for generations to be poisoned by the power structure’s program of indoctrinating racism within the institutions of society. Segregation added the element of socialization. Whites were socialized to believe that it would be normal for the races to be separate, but equal – which was a façade also. But not all Whites would believe this and they, along with Blacks would challenge this…which is why Jim Crow would only last but so long…it could not last forever, but it lasted long enough for the power structure to do what it wanted to do. At this present time, while many do not believe that they are racist, nor that we live in a racist society, they do however benefit from the designs of the power structure. Whites benefit from the design of the power structure. Blacks have been able to achieve and obtain success as well, but our levels of success are minimal in comparison to Whites and even if we achieve all that we can, we can never reach the levels of dominant culture. And so we strive. As for the power structure, it is still in control. And it successfully uses its tactic of racism to strike discord whenever necessary to shift attention off themselves. Racism is only one tactic. Religious values (not religion) are used as another tactic carefully used to distract. The power structure is wise. They know what they are doing.

I say all of this because some people are blind. Some people don’t know nor do they care to know the truth. They think they know their history, but they do not. They think that this country is a great place and means only well for the citizens. I cannot say that I am sure what the intentions of this government are. All I can say you need to educate yourself. Racism is a ploy, a tool, a tactic for a greater goal – world domination in my opinion. Tactics are used in strategy. If I want to get the ball into the endzone, I create a tactic to throw off my opposition in order to succeed. We are all being thrown off. We are the opposition. Until we all realize this reality, we are bound to be dominated.
